don't be a lazy couch potato.

Today was a really good park day.

As much as I hate to admit it, Makai watches a lot of TV and plays on our iPads all day. For the first couple years, I tried VERY hard to limit his exposure to screens and not watch any television. But with each trip to the hospital, the more we relied on TV to keep him entertained. 

So now I try and make it a point to bring him outside to play at least once a day, even if it's only for 20 mins. Sometimes getting him out the door is a struggle, but once he's out, he never wants to go back in. That's a good sign, right? As long as he doesn't end up a lazy couch potato.

Now that Mark is home more, he's usually the one who gets to take him out and play by the park. Lucky for us, the park is VERY close by.

And seriously, what is it with boys and sticks?

But at least he picked me some fresh flowers :]
